My Story

My name is Nicole, and I'm the creator of Craft Collective. Gift giving is my love language, and I believe the best gifts are the handmade items with meaning. From this, I've tried a lot of different crafts as I don't want to get repetitive. Now I consider myself a jack-of-all trades with crafting. If I see a new DIY craft on Pinterest or TikTok, I'll probably try it. However, my crafts are far from perfect, and I want to create a space that normalizes imperfections, so Craft Collective was born. Now, let's learn a little more about Nicole. I am originally from Los Angeles, but moved to New York in 2020 for college. Since then, I graduated with a Bachelor's of Arts from Hofstra University in just three years. I didn't get the four year college experience and I wasn't quite satisfied with my degree, so I stayed in school and I'm currently getting my MBA from Hofstra. I'll be graduating in May 2025!

My favorite craft is junk journaling, which I have been doing since 2019. At the time, it wasn't called junk journaling, but it was what made me fall in love with crafting and handmade gifts. I self taught myself calligraphy in high school, my favorite color is light purple, and I collect rubber ducks. You'll see these elements reflected in my brand design and many projects since they are so integral to my personal style.

Lastly, I'm also a big reader, so if you have any book recommendations please share! My favorite genres are fantasy and romance.
